Dietary supplements for brain (cerebellar) function

Dietary supplements for brain (cerebellar) function

My 2 year old border collie was diagnosed with cerebellar atrophy last week after a CT Scan. I know there's nothing that can be done to cure this problem, but I'd like to prolong his life as long and comfortably as possible. His vet said the damage may have peaked and stabilized and he won't get any worse than he is now, therefore he may have a chance at a full life with some extra TLC. Or this may progress within months, leading to nearly complete paralysis and I'll have to put him down.
I'm wondering if there might be a dietary supplement I can give him to benefit the health and function of the brain, specifically the cerebellum (which controls the fine motor activity).
I'll be doing research on the internet, but if anyone has any knowledge of dietary supplements that aid brain function, please let me know.
Thanks!

Does anyone use fish oil, ginkgo bilboa, or phosphatidyl serine (ps) in their pets' diets or for themselves?
Any noticeable or postive results concerning cognative function or overall neurological health?

I recommend Taurine.  It's a vitamin that can be found in your healthfood store.

Good luck!
