Does anybody's dog use Angel Eyes?

What is it?  My vet mentioned it the other day and not sure if it's for her discharge on her fur around the eyes or for her repeated eye problems that involve corneal ulcerations.  She's been dx'd with dry eyes yrs ago and uses meds to control it but sometimes she still gets plagued with this painful condition.

we go back again on Fri for her 3rd followup -

Angel Eyes is a dog food additive that is supposed to eliminate the pigments in the food... which come out in the dog's saliva and tears, causing brown staining.  Dry eyes has nothing to do with Angel Eyes.  Artificial tears can be applied to her eyes several times a day without harm, and will help with irritation.  It is okay to use artificial tears made for people, just put one or two drops in each eye.

I haven't used it but have heard of it.  It is for removing tear stains on dogs. Don't put it in the eyes.

Have you actually taken her to a canine opthomologist?
