Dog suddenly cant walk or urinate

My 15y.o. Lhasa usually walks over a mile a day and 2 days ago he stopped walking.  He urinated outside like a female dog and this was the dog who for 15years lifted his leg 20x on a 4 block walk.  He vomited once and is drinking water. I force fed him a small amount of food.  He is very lethargic.  He did not injure himself.  Just suddenly cant walk he tumbles over and wont lift his leg. He urinated on himself while sleeping.  Anybody know what could be the cause? I will take him to the vet but, cant afford thousands in vet bills.  My last dog died a year ago of cancer and I spent about 3,000 on chemo, test, removal of a salvitory gland. etc

thanks and I did take him to the vet.  He had a body x-ray and they seem to think he as arthritis.  I didnt know arthritis can suddenly act up so bad that it causes a dog not to walk.  He is on rimadyl but, he still isnt walking.  Am going to take him back for blood work.

This little one needs to be taken to the vet ASAP.  This sounds very serious.  I wouldn't waste any more time waiting to see what happens.  It actually sounds to me like he has had some sort of cerebral accident, maybe a small stroke.  The fact that he tumbles over and cannot lift his leg and urinates on himself while sleeping sounds like there is neurological damage of some kind.

Please post back and let us know what the vet says.
