Dry Skin problem

My dog King, has very dry skin, and his hair is fallen out. What can I do .

dry skin and shedding a bit more during winter is normal because we tend to boost the heat up and this dries the skin and fur. If it seems like it's more then normal you should probably consult a vet. if it makes sense and you think he's just having some dry skin caused by heat being cranked up in your home then you can try adding oil to his food. omegas make a WORLD of difference with many dogs. I have a shepherd mix and a great dane and i would NEVER go a winter without adding oil simply because the difference is very noticable. you can also try a fish based diet. ACANA (made by orijen) makes a super fish formula and since putting my girls on that i barely need to add any oil. I used to have a black lab who would shed an absolutly ridiculous amount and he had severe alergies (allergies)... the oil helped him as well... but like i said earlier, if he's shedding more then you would consider normal for the season, seeing the vet would be a good idea. what kind of dog is he and how old is he?
