Extremely high creatinine but is acting normal

Hi,
Our dog is 4 years old and we are pretty sure it was a toxin that our dog ingested to get him to this stage. We had him stay in the er vet for a week which brought him back from near death. Upon leaving we gave him fluids under the skin twice a day. He started to seem back to normal again within the first week home. When we went back to vet, his Creatinine levels were around 3 and every time we have been back since they are increasing. His Creatinine is currently at 13.3. It has been about 45 day now since the initial incident.  How ever, he is still eating, still drinking and is still very active playful and happy.... Our dog is a Carolina Dog, meaning his bloodline most likely contains some form of wild dog.Is there any way to explain his behavior with this incredibly high levels of Creatinine?
