Golden grunts

Golden grunts

I have a Golden that will be ten in a few days.Lately I have noticed that when she is lying down and moves to a different position she grunts each time she moves. I first thought this was just a relaxing sound, but it has become
frequent and think this is pain. She takes dermaxx as needed (which is not very often) and she has taken gcm plus
for several years. She is getting slower when standing up. I'm really concerned. I don't know if this is pain
or not.

This could be rheumatism/arthritis ?  You could try RHUS TOX (homoeopathic remedy) 6c. 2 tablets 3 times a day....any slight improvement, cut down to twice a day...marked improvement, cut down to once a day. If symptoms ease or pass, stop the medication. Only start again if symptoms come back. If you can't buy these at your pharmacist, you'll likely get them online.
I do not know how homoeopathic remedies work. It's illogical, because they are so diluted, they shouldn't work. But they often do, and sometimes when no other medicine does. They are totally harmless, and will not interfere with any other medication.
I guess you've had the vet check her out? If you get a diagnosis, at least you'll know what this is. They may be able to tell by how flexible the joints are, or what's called 'crepitation' (cracking sounds) when the joint is moved.
