Guinea pig confusion- Lice, mites and nits!

I have been reading loads of info about guinea pigs, and its REALLY confusing. I notices a bug moving around in my guinea pigs fur near her skin, so I looked on the internet to see what it was. First the description said there were mites, then lice then nits. They where a greyish white colour and smaller then human head lice. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THEY ARE BECAUSE THEY NEED TO BE TREATED!!!

Take your guinea pig to the vet, who will look at the bugs and know what they are and how to treat them.

Vets don't usually charge a lot for these small pets to be seen and treated.
