Help-My dog has mastitis and is not eating

My 7 yr old lab had pups this past Friday.  Sunday evening she developed a fever and was very lethargic.  There was no vets open, so a friend of ours gave us some Amoxil for her.  He is a dog breeder.  By that evening her temp dropped.  Monday morning I took her to the vets.  She was diagnosed with mastitis.  She was given Zeniquin and Renal Essentials since her liver and kidney enzymes were elevated a little.  She has not ate anything since Sunday.  She does drink water and I gave her some warm chicken broth.  We are now bottle feeding 6 pups, every three hrs.  Everything that I have read on the internet says to use warm compresses and massage her to release the milk.  She is so swollen, red and sore that she doesnt even want to walk around, let alone me touching her.  

Should this antibiotic dry her up.  I did notice a little change on her left side, but the right is so hard and red.  I feel so sorry for her.  

Any suggestions would be great.

You'll need to call your vet this morning.  In the meantime, keep doing what you're doing with the compresses as much as you can.  I wish I had some words of wisdom for you, but I know nothing of lactating dogs.  Please post back and let us know what the vet says.  I'm praying for all of you.
