I need help with my dog's symptoms

My beagle out of nowhere 2 nights ago started shivering and could not sit still. He eventually started to stumble and fall over when he would walk. That day he was fine up until around 9:40 to 10:00pm. The only thing he had unusual to eat was some lemon curd at around 12:00 and again at around 3 to 3:40. The next day he was some what better. He was drinking some water and ate some pieces of bread. Now 2 days later he only stumbles some when he walks and drinks some water here and there and ate a little dog food but is still breathing irregular and stumbles some when walking and laying in his bed. Could he have had an allergic reaction to the lemon curd? If so could it last this long? I mean he was fine 2 days ago, playing and acting his normal self. Then around 9:40 and 10:00pm that day just snap of the figure shivering and couldn't sit still and stumbling or falling down. I need help please

I don't know what lemon curd is either....However, with the erratic breathing, this makes it an emergency.....The shivering & not being able to sit still is classic for extreme pain!! Where? Only a Vet will be able to tell....

Please, do not wait any longer...Something is very wrong here & he's depending on you to get him the help he needs.....

Please, come back & let us know what you find out.....Good luck....

I don't even know what lemon curd is.  He does not sound well and the shivering could be because he is in pain.
Yes, agree, you need to get him checked by a Vet.

I'm from Mexico, so I immediately think of insect bites, but if you live in a place where snow's on the ground now, I doubt that would be the cause.  It sounds as if he's having little seizures.  They could be due to getting into some poisonous substance (car antifreeze, a poisonous plant, some cleaning fluids).  Or they could be due to a physiological or neurological problem which just appeared now, for an unknown reason. My Standard Poodle had the same thing and then developed epileptic seizures.  I found out later that it was a brain tumor which, at his age, was no longer fixable.  There are so many reasons for your dog's symptoms that only a qualified vet would be able to diagnose it properly.  I know it's what everyone says on these forums, but I'll say it again: Take your dog to a vet NOW, please.  I'm sure you wouldn't let your child carry on with these symptoms without seeing a doctor right away, so please do it for your dog.  I wish you all the best.  Hugs to you and your little beagle.  And please let us know how you fared, okay?
