I need to know if I should be worried

My female dog is aproximitely 10 years old. I understand old age can change your dog. She always want to be alone and has not been herself I'd say for the last 4 moths or so. This is not my worry. My worry is, I have not been around during the day to see if this problem accurs, but at night she comes out of hiding... She becomes very skiddish and will literally throw herself on you. She begins shaking intensily and pants and does not stop for the rest of the night. She doesnt  eat or drink she just paises and shakes and pants. There is nothing that makes it stop. Should I get her in to a vet?

Agreed, and the symptoms can indicate a lot of pain... please don't let the dog suffer.

Yes please do get her to a vet. These are signs of illness in my opinion, and not behavioural (unless something is regularly terrifying her)

Not eating and drinking -that cannot go on. Something is wrong. Not drinking can be very dangerous in itself. And or that to go on for more than a day can lead to serious dehydration.
