Lab losing hair and wieght

I have a one year old black lab.  All shots up to date, spayed and until 3 weeks ago perfectly healthy.

She is losing hair by the handful.  Not in spots, all over. Thinning out and at the same time losing weight.

She eats normally, plays, is the same behavior wise. She is wasting away slowly though.

Any thoughts?

My first thought is to take her to the vet asap.  This would not be normal for a young, healthy dog, to be "wasting away" and losing a lot of hair.

Another vote for seeing the vet. Losing weight with a good appetite and hair falling out? Were she a person I'd suspect her thyroid. Check with the Vet.
