I have a mini jack russell about 1 yrs old shes normally hyper and running around but today shes just been laying around not eating or drinking but she has solid poop and is throwing up. Im really conserned it might be parvo because my other dog came down with it but i bought her from someone and shes had shots. I just need to figure out whats wrong with her because i hate seeing her down
Morning & welcome......Do you have her vaccine records or did you just take the word of whom ever you bought her from? In any case, if your other dog had Parvo, it's possible that this one has contracted the virus, too.
Parvo Virus can live up to 7 mos. in the environment....Normal is 5-7 months....During this period, any other dog can catch it, too.....
I wouldn't risk a second dog dying from this Virus......Your Puppy may have something else, but you need to get her to a Vet ASAP.....They can test for Parvo & at least rule it out.......If this is the beginning of the Virus, you have a better chance of saving your girl if the treatment is started early.....
Good luck & let us know what you find out.....Karla
