My dakota is very sick Please help

My dog Dakota has had a liter of fluid (clear pink) removed from her chest.  She presented with tiredness lweight loss and constant panting.  I took her to the doctor in November and the vet noticed nothing wrong with her even though she was panting then.  I did notice she had two ticks on her which I removed.  I took her back in December and she took xrays of her chest and found the fluid she says Dakota has cardiomyopathy.  I took her to another vet who was a cardiac specialist who removed the fluid.  My dog has been better since the removal of the fluid from her chest.  I read that Bartonella elizabethae DNA caught from a ground squirrels was recently identified in a sick dog with a 2-month history of lethargy, decreased appetite, weight loss, and occasional vomiting of undigested food.  I live in Virginia next to a large park where there are lots of squirrels.  If I give her an antibiotic will it hurt a dog with DCM?  Also DCM is a large breed disorder.  My dog is a mix breed Husky/Rotty < 50 lbs. The cardiac vet did perscribe a steroid for her but thats it.  She also suggested I bring her in every two to three weeks to have fluid drained from her chest even though my vet had given her lasix (140 mg).  I decided to give her 10 mg of lasix a day to get the fluid out.  She's passing urine good but she hasn't had a bowel movement in at least a week.   She's eating again and sleeping on her side again.  I asked for the fluid to be analized and I should hear something in January.  What can I do?  She's had an ultrasound, xray, and removal of fluid from her chest.

Please get her to a different vet quickly!  A week without a bowel movement can kill a dog but when you add in all the other problems, Dakota is in trouble.
