THANKS!!  i am calling the vet in the morning! i also found out that the woman i bought the dog from( she has taken care of dobeis for about 20 years) is coming into to town to check up on another dog she sold (be here in the morning) and we know her very well so she agreed to take a look at her and she may even pay for the vet since she wanted us to breed her with one of her dogs....im so happy that i can finally take a lil of the stress away...but not all...im hoping there is nothing major wrong.....i would hate to lose our family friend and i know my 2 year old son would be heart broken as Heidi (dobey) is his best friend!!! thanks again!!!!!!!!!

suttyjane is absolutely right.  I hate to say it, but you have a responsibility to provide your pets with medical care.  It's entirely possible your dog ate a rat that was poisoned and he could die.  There is nothing you can do on your own to help him, so he MUST see a vet.  Many clinics will set up payment plans or offer some kind of financing.  You can even call your local SPCA, Humane Society or other shelters for advice in that area.  Some of those organizations are large enough that they can provide lower cost treatment to the general public.  You won't know until you ask, so start making some calls now.  The worst thing you can do is nothing, and the worst thing any clinic can tell you is "no."

This could potentially kill her. Regardless of whether she ate a rat with poison in it or if it is a case of 'round worms', which could also cause the symptoms you mention & death if a severe case is present.
There are over the counter remedies for the removal of worms available. Her weakend condition doesn't leave many options for guessing. There are no home remedys for unkown causes of her condition. A Vet unless performing services for gratus- an exam & testing plus any needed meds will run you any where from $50-?
Unfortunately, if you cannot afford to maintain her in a healthy manner. And she is obviously suffering some discomfort- It may be best to turn her over to your local shelter or rescue before it is too late. Alternatively, these organizations may offer to help your also. Good Luck, & please don't let your animal suffer any longer!
