My puppy has red itchy skin..ahh help!

My puppy is poodle cross foxi. He has been eating ekanuba puppy biscuits ever since we got him I'm not sure he likes anything else. He has hot red skin all the time and it looks really dry. I washed him in tea tree oil shampoo that says sensitive and natural which in cold water which seems to cool him down for a bit. He doesnt have any serious bite marks but were noticed scratches all over him. he's had all his shots and rabies dont exist in australia. what can I do? Is it his food. I feel sorry for him he has trouble sleeping because his skin gets so hot and swollen. HELP anyone?

hiya my weimeraner suffers with this i got away with jus using a cream for itchy skin from the pet shop, but my friends beagle suffers awfully with it she tried everything and in the end took her to the vets were they prescribed cream and steroid tablets shes a lot better now, maybe a trip to the vet would be the best bet and get it treated properly he wont be feeling the best while he is so itchy and sore
