My vet says Slentrol should not cause diarrhea

but that is not the case with our little big dog Rosie. 3 tries of Slentrol, 3 bouts of explosive diarrhea and the vet acts like it my fault.  I did not ask for this medication, but he insisted it would add years to her life. We had to take he in for treatment during the middle bout. He insisted that it worked in the brain although the website states it works in the small bowel. Is my sweet mutt a rarity, or is this just another hush case? He should have rebated me the cost of something...these doctors & their egos...

i agree that he should have done something. i know that my dog got worms even though we thought her heartworm meds would help prevent intestinal worms. well it turns out she out grew the dosage and he refunded us for what we still had left.
