New product to help for IBD Dogs & Cats

Just letting all of you know that Purina has come out with a powdered probiotic called Fortiflora that I have seen first hand help some dogs with bad cases of IBD. They make a feline version too but I haven't heard any feedback about that yet but I know of 2 dogs so far that were suffering with terrible bouts of gastroenteritis and colitis and they have been using this product and the diarrhea has stopped. They continue to use all their other IBD meds for the time being in addition to this powder. Just passing the info along. I have an IBD dog myself and plan to try it when the next flare up occurs. :)

Oh yeah!  He (Doc Holliday is his name) has a great smile, and his tail twirls in a perfect circle like a propellor.  LOL!  Our other dog, Maggie, is a Dal x Lab mix, and her smile is even more obvious than Doc's.  I have some pics on my profile page if you care to check 'em out.  Some people don't believe it when I tell them my dogs actually smile, but you and I both know better.  Don't we?  :-)

Great to hear! It's so hard to care for a dog with IBD since there's no cure just management of the disease that's why I always try to pass along any info that could help others. I LOVE Dal's! Does yours do the dalmatian smile when he or she gets nervous or excited? We have alot that come to our clinic because of allergies and they always smile. I also have a Dal mixed breed that smiles whenever I come home or he gets in trouble :)

Our vet had some samples of that product a couple months ago, and gave them to us to see if they might help our Dal with diarrhea issues.  It really works!
