I noticed that my dog (one year and half yellow lab) was favoring one of his back legs. Still running and walking completely fine. When he stood still, you could tell he wasn't putting much pressure on that leg. He was like toe touching that leg. (best way to explain it)
The vet examined him, and said we needed to have a xray done to see if indeed he tore his ligament. Could be a Partial cruciate ligament (acl) injury ? She ruled out any hip dysplasia or hip probelms. The end of this week is when we are having his xray.
Question I have is, that his leg looks like it is getting worse by the day. Even thou, I try my best to keep him quiet. (extremely difficult to do with such a young lab) It breaks my heart to see him this way, I know he must be in pain! I just want to have the surgery to fix the probelm. Is it nessarcy to have a xray done? It is obv. that his leg isn't getting better. Can they just do the surgery?
Advice?!?
