Pb side effects

Our 12 year old dog has had seizures ever since we adopted him, ten years ago.  Seizures had been every couple of years and by this summer were occurring about once every other month.  A few weeks ago, he had four seizures in 2 days, which necessitated leaving him at the vet clinic for a couple of days for observation.  Our vet had been reluctant to put dog on pb as he has had elevated liver enzymes for a couple years now and is taking denamarin.  He did prescribe pb though and will monitor liver enzymes.  Moe was initially put on 15mg twice a day.  After 1 week on this dosage, we called the vet as side effects were really awful.  He suggested that we half the dose which we did do.  He seems a bit better, but is still very disoriented and is urinating in the house.  He also seems to be bumping into things and reading other posts, some owners have mentioned blindness.  Is this a side effect of pb, and if so will it go away?another concern is our vet is waiting one month before doing blood work.  Should we have this done sooner?  Also, Moe has been on pb now for two weeks, when should we expect these side effects to diminish?  We would appreciate any help!
