Pit Bull Mix Not Drinking, Blood in Urine

My dog, who we thought was about 3 years old but is probably much older than that just finished her medication for a UTI that she had.  She was doing fine, happy go lucky, tail wagging, licking and eating.  This past Saturday she started to become very tired and did not have the desire to eat.  Since then she always on her bed laying down.  We have had trouble getting her to drink and eat.  We have had blood work and urine tests done from her and they said that her tests came back normal.  When she urinates, there is still blood.  I was able to get her to eat some canned food yesterday and have been giving her freeze pops.  She seems to like those.  The vet has ordered an ultrasound on her now.  Any ideas???  Please help.  We have only had her for over a year now.  She has been spayed.  Takes her meds to prevent for worms too.
Thank you

I can only recommend you do some research online on canine tumors of the spleen. She will most likely have a splenectomy if possible. There is usually no way of knowing whether or not the tumor is benign or malignant until they do the surgery. There can be many complications. it all depends on the mass, how early it was detected, etc..
I am sorry I couldn't offer you better news. These type tumors are becoming all too common in dogs. I wish they could find out what is causing these. I had a dog who had one also. But his was not possible for surgery as he was diabetic, was much older and had other age related issues.

I wish you and your baby the best of health, and hope for a successful solution.

Take care, Teresa <3

Hi guys
thanks for comments and concern.  Was mistaken about her urine test.  They found alot of bateria in it.  They ordered and ultrasound today and found a mass on her spleen.  That did us some meds for her to help clear up the bacteria.  -Baytril.  Seems to have helped somewhat.  She actaully has been drinking from her bowl.  They think it may be possible that the mass could be causing her symptoms but are not certain.  Either way she needs to have the mass removed.  Anyone have ideas on success rate, complications from this type of surgery?
thanks again all
