Please, i need help! My dog was diagnosed with Portosystemic shuntCyanotic heart disease Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (tips), murmurHeart murmurs and other sounds, and also has crystalsCrystal b-12 (Ammonium Biurate CrystalsCrystal b-12). This all happened this last Monday when i noticed his abdomen kinda big and that he was kinda sluggish. He is on meds already.. He seems to be the same way as he was in the beginning of this week: excessive sleeping and lethargy, pacing and aimless wandering, etc. He doesn't eat at all; he is on low-protein diet (U/D). Oh, he also haven't gone to the bathroom - he is taking Lactulose. I was searching today and find this herb called MilkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal Thistle ( i already ordered). Would like to know if someone can help me and tell me and give me some ideas on what to cook for him, so i can try to see if he eats. Thanks, i really appreciate your comments in advance.
I don't know a lot about this, but did a little research tonight. You could try this diet: Waltham Veterinary Diets Canine Low and Medium Protein, dry and canned.
It might be wise to speak to your vet first.
