Puppy just spayed..

Hello! We have a 6 month old Rottweiler that was just spayed 4 days ago..we have been closely monitoring her and limiting her activities as much as possible.. She back to her super sweet playful self..and is eating well and going potty normally .. Yesterday I did notice a slight clear discharge from the incision .. I panicked and took her to the Vet .. We were told that it was healing better than expected for 3 days and that the discharge was normal drainage.. Today it seems to be slightly more and has a pinkish tint .. I'm a mess and can't stop crying!! Should I take her to another vet?? Is this really normal ?? Any input would be so appreciated from this anxious doggy mommy!

Just wanted to update.. Callie is doing better!! I have kept her in her crate and as much as it pains me to keep her in the crate.. Only let her out to eat and potty and the discharge is minimal and it looks good!!! I'm going to keep this routine for another week.. Can't wait for my baby to be back to normal.. Thanks everyone for your comments !!

What you describe is normal.....Ginger's correct--Yellow or green discharge is abnormal....DO NOT let this puppy play...Get him a crate if you must!!!  He needs cage rest to let this heal....Good luck, Karla

Slight fluid seepage, even if pinkish in colour is considered part of the natural healing process. Also some redness/swelling of wound edges, or even bruising.
What wouldn't be normal, is a lot of fluid seepage, bleeding, or anything which smells bad. If fluid starts to drip (for example when your pup is standing) -that's not normal either. Nor would be yellowish or greenish-tinged fluid or pus.

My advice would be to keep an eye on that wound, don't let her lick it, if she walks outside, let her wear a loose light cotton T  shirt which is long enough to cover the wound, just to prevent mud splashes, dust or debris from getting into the wound.
