Quality of life....

Hello, I have an eight and a half week old border collie mix puppy, Daisy. 3 days ago she suffered blunt trama to the head. She came home last night from being with our vet and the emrgency hospital. She has a concussion and a pulmonary contusion. She is some what responsive, eating on her own however her motor skills are very unstable. All the vets say she is doing remarkably well. I am wondering if anyone else has ever had this happen and what long term issues came up. I know every situation is different, I just want to provide the very best care for my baby girl.

Thank you in advance for any advice or comments! It is greatly appreciated....

Awww... Poor girl. Puppies can make amazing recoveries. Reguardless of how much her mobility returns she can have a great quality of life. Care may become expensive though. Did vets say what the reason was for her instability? Did she injure the part of her brain responsible for motor function or is her equalibrium off do to increased pressure in her ears? If she is simply dizzy, there are meds that can correct it. If it is brain damage there is always physical therapy and the possibility of a wheelchair.
