Could be a torn ligament, or some type of joint damage. An x-ray at your vets office and at the very least, a wellness checkup should yield more answers.

EXACT same thing happened to my English Mastiff. I took her to the dog-park, didn't notice any strange behavior, and when I got home, she was limping noticeably. Took her to the vet, only to find out that she'd told her MCL and ACL. Had to have a TPLO on each knee to repair the damage.

She's good as new now (relatively speaking) and we're several years on now, but she's in general good health and pain-free (again, relatively speaking).

Not saying that's what your boxers got going on, but it might be something to mention to the vet.

Something definitely happened at the park.

My hound dog plays with Boxers when we visit the dogpark, and that breed is SO incredibly active, my guess is that a muscle was overexerted (just like el_em_en_oh suggested). Could be the joint, but either way .... boxers move fast and move a lot ... the fact that he can't put weight on it sounds like you need professional help asap.

Keep in mind that not all dogs yelp or let you know they hurt, I had a sheepdog that was so incredibly stoic .... even broke a tooth and I never noticed that till later on ...  he never let me know when he was in trouble.
