Shit zu problems

Okay I have a male **** zu, he is almost 4 years old and is not neutered.  He lately has been urinating outside on our other dog which is a female cocker spaniel.  He does this then proceeds to hump her back where he has urinated.  Ugh gross.  Anywho, he is also barking constantly we will feed him, water him, love him etc but he gets in this moods where he just constantly barks, it gets really annoying especially with a sleeping baby.  I dont want to get rid of him, but he is becoming too much.  Any ideas on what I can do to break these bad habits?

Dogs bark at all kinds of things.  The main reason for the non-stop, incessant barking is boredom.

Oh boy.  Your little boy has certainly trained YOU well!  All he has to do is bark and misbehave, and he gets rewarded with with attention.  Does he get attention when he's being good?  That's a good place to start.  The reason he is peeing and humping the other dog is because he sees himself above her in the pack order.  It's not "mean" or sexual behavior: it's dominant behavior and perfectly normal in a pack dogs.  Only problem is, he lives with humans and we don't like that behavior.

First, are your dogs indoor dogs?  If not, you might as well forget about doing anything about their behavior and find them new homes.  You won't be able to correct them if you aren't right there when the bad behavior happens.

There isn't enough room on this board for me to give you all the ins-and-outs of dog psychology, but that's what you need to read up on.  Start watching The Dog Whisperer (Cesar Milan) on the National Geographic Channel and begin putting his techniques into practice.  I can truthfully testify that it really does work!  If you don't get that channel, go to the library and check out his book, "Cesar's Way."   I suspect you'll be very pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to transform a misbehaving, dominant dog into a well-behaved, beloved family member.  Good luck!
