Should I Be Concerned of Rabies??

Hello everyone so lately I've been stressed and anxious over this fear of rabies due to what happened earlier this week. Here's the story:

On Monday night I was walking my dog as usual around 8:30ish PM at the park and we passed by this bush and there was a hole in it and so my dog started to get closer to it and sniff it. I didn't think anything of it and I was on my phone at the time. All of a sudden I hear my dog bark at something and half of her body was inside the bush. I tried to pull her away from the bush but she was resisting and her body was like in fight mode. I eventually then was able to pull her away. I wasn't able to see what she was barking at inside the bush so I'm kind of scared the creature could've had rabies. I also don't know if she could have been bitten or if she bit the unknown creature in the bush. I looked at her face for any signs of a bite but I didn't see anything but like it was also dark at the park so I could've missed it. I went to the vet today because my dog was due for an annual check-up and told her what happened and she said not to worry about it because she did not see any bites on my dog's face and that my dog is up to date on the rabies vaccine. However, I'm still kind of anxious and worried that my dog could have contracted rabies? What do you guys think. Is this a concern for rabies?

Okay, well within 24 hours you got your dog seen by the vet, and the vet checked and found no injury on your dog, no bites etc. It IS possible for rabies to be transmitted via saliva if saliva from an infected animal got into eyes, nose, mouth or a wound.
I guess you did mention your worries to the vet? And what did she say about any risk?
My feeling is you will not be relaxed until you are sure. So call her on the telephone. Find a time when she can speak to you for a few minutes, and ask her for advice if you haven't already done that.

The chances are probably slim. In order to contract rabies, your dog would have had to be in direct contact -not just with an animal, but with one that had rabies.

But please do speak with your vet.

Is your dog vaccinated for rabies, and are the shots up to date? If so you probably have nothing to worry about -but do check to be 100% sure.
