I was just wondering how is the little guy doing now ? Hope he's doing a
lot better now.
Pancreatitis can recur when it has happened once. But if there is blood in his vomit, I think you would be best to take him to the vet. Sometimes the presence of blood in vomit is caused by irritation to the throat only while vomiting, and in itself not a serious thing. But it might not be that. And I think if he has a history of Pancreatitis he needs to see the vet.
Poor little thing. I hope he is feeling better soon.
MY MISTAKE...sorry I just looked back and this is a 'lil GUY not a "she
or a her" fur kid.
Just so your friend knows many times your dog "get's past" Pancreatitis
but that means you still have to be very careful what they eat, they can
not ever have anything with high fat, chicken skin, fat off meat or it can
trigger it all over again.
My old girl had it when she was 2 years old she has been on grain free
dry dog food since then, NO PEOPLE food unless it is left over veggies
from our dinner mixed in her food, all the "dog cookies" mine have also
are grain free. She has watermelon, canalope cooked green beans ( not
canned because of the high salt content) as "treats." She had it once but
never a second time, I am very careful what she eats.
BUT YES, depending on what her dog has eaten she could have it back
and I suggest she see her veterinarian ASAP as it WILL get worse, blood
in throw up is never a good thing. He is not eating IF it is Pancreatitis again
because his gut is raw and inflamed and really is very painful.
My old girl is 15 years old, is also a Yorkie and is also blind.
Hope this helped Jan
