Strange behavior

I have a one year old Shih Tzu female. Recenty we had a friend who had a puppy who stayed with us for the last two weeks. The day before yesterday, he left with his dog. They got along great and played a lot. Now, all day yesterday she has seemed mopy, down, maybe depressed, but she has also been randomly shaking. I know she is due to go into heat early next month, but I'm not sure this is normal?
She didn't act like this when she went into heat when she was 6 months old.
My other worry is that she got a hold of a pork bone the day before our friend left with his puppy, but she seemed fine the next day.
Suggestions? Thanks to anyone who can help.

Thanks for your advice. I decided to watch her the day I posted this being as our vet was out of town. About half way through the day, she started acting fine again, she is totally back to normal now. So I think she must have just been depressed. Thanks!

the only time my female dog sook was when she was horny and about to hump she would be so frustrated she would just shake cuz we wouldnt let her hump lol on the other note your pup is still young so it could be a underlying issue that is starting to manifest.. my old jack russelstarted shaking all the time and was sick most of his life and ended up being an angry dog and he started showing signs as a pup, but i forget what was wronge with him but i do remember him shaking al the time n something with his ears n eyes an dlived to 8 aorund half his age or some small dogs. sry couldnt help more!

Get her to the vet immediately.
It's hard to tell what's the matter with her but I wouldn't assume it is just because she's missing the little pup and your friend.
Shaking is more than likely a sign of pain. Also, having had a recent experience of Pyometra with my dog, I am now aware that it can strike ANY entire female at any time, whether or not she is generally fit and well. It usually affects older dogs, but can strike females of any age. If it's Pyometra, it's an emergency situation. The reason I mention this is because it actually happened to my dog while she was on heat.
On the other hand, it could be anything. Pork can be a little heavy and fatty for dogs, and can cause pancreatitis. Or there could be a blockage caused by a fragment of bone.
Whatever -I think she needs to be seen by a vet.
