Its been a few days and my 6 year old shih-tzu usually the first to jump up on the bed or sofa is having trouble jumping up he can still jump down but not up he can go down the stairs but not up. Please what could be wrong?
Should I get him to the Vet ASAP.
Thank you and information would be of help
Yes, I think a visit to the vet is in order. Something tells me there is a hip problem going on. Over the years I've noticed that dogs with hip issues find it far more difficult to go up a set of stairs rather than down. Until you can get to a vet, help him out on the jumping and stairs - go ahead and pick him up. You don't want to aggravate whatever injury he may have by encouraging those activities. Hope his problem is a minor, short-lived one. :-)
