Vitamin D

My vet said that my male dog which has not been neutered should take Vitamin D to keep him from having seizures. Is this dangerous?

He was shaking like a leaf for about 3 days and I noticed he was running a temp and thought it was an infection. Vet gave me antibiotics and after a few days he was feeling like his old self.

Sorry but this is just odd.  Does your dog even have a seizure disorder?  I have never heard of such a thing.

That is ridiculous.  Vitamin D does not prevent seizures.  Please see a vet who knows what he's doing, before your dog has any more seizures without a correct diagnosis and treatment.  Blessings - Blu
