What can I do to remove tea tree oil from my dogs skin?

I read that tea tree oil would help my dogs skin and I was not very smart and believed the first thing I read. After putting the 100% oil on her skin and after 30 min I did a little more research and found it is very toxic. My husband has washed her 3 times with dawn dish soap and I am still worried. Will this be enough to get the oil off? Thanks for any insight on this.

It is good that the dog has been bathed with the dawn.  No way to tell how much was absorbed.  You need to watch for any side effects like vomiting, lethargy, neurological problems, etc.  If you see any of these signs, I suggest you get to an ER.  You may want to but I see you posted this some hours ago.  Do call your Vet first thing in the morning for advice as to what to do.

Good luck and please come back to update.
