Where can I take my dogs

I have two dogs, Shar Peis. One is mixed with Pit Bull, the other is mixed with Lab (both very friendly dogs). Both from the same litter so they've never been separated. They are about 7 yrs old now. I've had them since they were 6 weeks old and they've always had a yard to run around in, until now. My situation has changed and I've had to move out of my home into a townhome with only a garage. Within a few months I will be moving to a different state and will probably be in an apartment. Not only that, I think I will be getting deployed for a year in about a year or so. I just don't think this is the best situation for them so I think the best thing to do is find my dogs another home, but I don't even know where to start! I definitely do not want to take them to a place where they will be put to sleep. I've looked at some animal shelter places but most all are full. Does anyone have any ideas?
