I would definately get him to the vet. I wish I knew exactly what it looked like. Sometimes in the summer dogs will get these seed like things from the grass stuck in there eye. Sometimes it will come out on it's own, sometimes it won't and it can get infected. We live out in the country with a lot of running room for our dogs so it didn't surpise me when it happened last week. My white boxer Maverick came in from outside and his eye looked red and irritated, then it became a little swollen. He's prone to allergies so I gave him a benadryl anyway. The next day it was more swollen and he couldn't open his eye all of the way, so I called the vet and got the earliest appointment available. I kid you not about an hour before we left for the vet his eye got better! It was still a little red but other than that it looked normal! I still took him to the vet anyway but most likely he just got something in his eye and it took a day to come out. Let us know what the vet says! Hopefully it's something minor. =)

Take him to a vet ... NOW.  Would you go to the doctor if your eye was swollen, and bulging out?
