arthritis

I have a 4 1/2 year old husky malamute mix and he is showing signs of arthritis... he acts as though his back end is stiff after he plays with his buddies. Is he to young for arthritis?

No, he's not too young.  Arthritis isn't just for the old.  If there is an underlying problem like hip displaysia, that causes arthritis as an additional problem.  Have your vet take a look at him, and expect to have an x-ray done.  There are both prescription meds and over-the-counter herbals like glucosamine and chondroitin that can help keep your dog active and out of pain.
