dark redish color to dogs eye looks like blood
I have a 3 year chihuahua and where the white part of the eye is has a dark red color looks like blood. What is wrong with his eye? Will it heal? Will he still have his sight?

One of my APBT's has this going on - it's due to allergies. I would definitely go to the vet to make sure what's going on but that may be all it is. However, please do get it checked out!

Hi Becky....Bless his heart! Trauma to the head is usually what causes this....Has he had an accident of any form? It means that the blood vessels behind his eyes have burst! I wouldn't wait around to find out on this one! Please, get him to a Vet for proper diagnosis & care ASAP...
