dog fell and peed, can't walk now

my dog woke me up this am, she peed all over her bed while trying to get up. She continued to try to get outside and kept falling. I picked her up and took her outside and she wobbled all over the place while trying to squat and pee. She then just fell and layed there. I went over and picked her up and yook her inside where I just held her on my lap. She was drooling and her heart was beating very fast. After a few minutes I put her on the floor and now she is walking fine. I am going to take her to the vet however would like to know what I am facing. Any ideas/

some thing happen to my dog like that over weekend fell over couldnt stand up straight leaned on wall lasted about 40 min took her to vet her stomach was big i thought she ate something the kids gave her but vet put her on heart meds and gave her a lasix shot trying to see if it gets the stomach down he said her leg thing was part of the nervous system that could have lead to that problem, i had took her in last month due to cough so i thin vet should have put her on meds at that time but he didnt and things got worst in my eyes.

Our dog did the same thing one time and it turned out he had a stroke. He wasn't completely normal after that happened. He would need to lean on the wall to walk down the stairs and his vision started to deteriorate, but he lived for another 3 years to the rips old age of 18.

Good luck. I pray its nothing serious!

It sounds as if she was having a seizure,I would call my vet and get her seen as soon as possible.Seizures can be controlled with meds and to give you peace of mind as to what is going on.Please keep us posted on how she is doing.God Bless and take care

I can't believe the lack of knowledge about the horrible neurological effects of lawn chemicals, perfumy cleaners, and Febreze, people use in and around their homes.  They are toxic to humans and pets, and Febreze has even killed dogs who laid on couch coverings sprayed with it.  Evaluate your home all over for chemicals; the government doesn't evaluate these products for safety.  And anything with the word "fragrance" in the ingredients, is artificial and probably harmful. Many of the chemicals in something aren't required to be listed.  Don't use potpourri, air fresheners, fabric softeners or even scented laundry products, either.  It harms whether the pet is directly on a fabric, or the chemical smell is in the air.

Definitely a job for a vet to diagnose and determine any necessary treatment plan.  There are way too many things that could cause this to happen, and most of them aren't good.  Please post back and let us know what your vet thinks is happening.

I'm no vet but my cat did something similar a while ago. He was fine after a few days so nobody thought too much of it but later we discovered he had brain cancer. I don't mean to freak you out, but you should DEFINITELY get her to a vet ASAP.
