dog scratching swollen neck!

please help my chihuahua has recenlty recieved a swollen neck maybe from some sort of bite and swelled up the right side of her neck she scratched it today too hard i presume and by the time i came back from school it was a little bloody how should i help her?

Welcome to the forum....A swollen neck for any reason is dangerous for your Chi...Even if it's a bite or sting, the swelling in this area can get bad enough to restrict her airway and she NOT be able to breath....

It also can mean an infection of a gland in her neck area that needs treatment...Oral Antibiotics are a must to clear up the infection & get the swelling down ASAP...

Her scratching  means it hurts! Please get her to her Vet ASAP before matters get worse...The sooner you get her there, the easier it will be to treat...Come back and let us know what you find out......Good luck, Karla
