female puppies and periods?

my puppy seems to be having her period but she is only about eight or nine weeks old i was wondering if it is normal or if i should get her medical help?

thanks guys... i took her in and she had a urinary infection or somethin like that.... thanks for all your help!

I would take her in to your vet as soon as possible.Females do not go into heat until they are around 6 to 9 month old.It sounds like she has some type of infection going on and your vet needs to treat her with some antbiotics

No, this is far too young for her to be on "heat". Female dogs come on their first "heat" cycle aged around 6 months (to 9 months)
Your little puppy does need to see the vet. I would take her immediately. I hope there is nothing too serious going on, and she is ok again soon.
