intermittent limp

About three weeks ago, we took our bichon-poodle mix dog to the beach. He loved it. Afterwards, he developed a slight limp on his back right leg.  He runs fine, does his little bichon buzz daily.  just sometimes, as he walks outside, he gets that hitch in his gait and limps for a bit.  he shows no signs of pain and often stands on his hind legs as he begs for my food.  but it has been three plus weeks now and he still has that hitch.  should i be more than just a little concerned?

Thanks!  I think's he's stopped limping now...for the most part.  He's still a drama queen at times.

After 3 weeks, if he's not showing signs of pain and is otherwise getting around just fine, it's probably just a minor injury that will heal with time.  Of course, I'm always a proponent of checking these things out with a vet, and you would not be remiss in doing so.  He may just need a little anti-inflammatory med to help him heal a little faster.
