my sick puppy....

I have a 2 year old weenie dog.... for the past week she has had severe diarrhea and she has been throwing up.... I called the vet and she asked if she has had her parvo shot , well she has had her first shots but not her second,, does this sound like parvo or just something she ate???

She needs to see the vet ASAP.  Sick from something she ate wouldn't last this long unless she was allergic and you continued to feed her that.  The recalled dog food could cause terrible sickness like this and even death as you know, but hopefully its not that. Make sure you dog food wasn't on the recalled list.

You cannot have her continue to be this sick without becoming dehydrated if she isn't already. As far as parvo, the doctor can give her a "titer test" to see the level of the vaccine in her body. She may not need another shot, but please go to the vet immediately. Its not normal for a dog to be sick this long.
