pit broken lower jaw

how to care for a baby pitbull that the mother broke the lower part of the jaw the jaw is in line but it hangs kind of low no swelling she can lap milk and soft food will she be ok

Thank you so much he is on my lap trying to lick me to death this morning he does not like the tape but as long as he is going to heal o we are great :)Wish I could post pics he is so cute

I am so glad you updated.  Was wondering what happened.  Glad he is doing ok and will hope he heals quickly.

He is doing great he is all wired and taped up he is on meds for pain and infection he is only 4 weeks old and he weighed 3.9 lbs when I brought him in he is  steady eating and gaining weight playing and running around today with my other dogs we named him buster :) We love him so much hes a champ:)

So glad you are taking him in and glad he is able to eat.  I worry about long term affects.

I am going to bring him in first thing in the morning to my reg vet .he is the sweetest little puppy my vet said to start him on the pain meds I already have for my other dog that was hurt from a dew claw last month and I also started him on penicillin this morning he ate a whole can of pedegree puppy food and a whole bowl of mothers milk formula he has no fever so I think once he sees the vet he will be ok thx for the response I will keep everyone updated..
