my 3mo old puppy eats her poop, either right after she goes or if i dont get it cleaned up in time she will eat it later.I heard to put crushed pineapple in her food and that will make her poop "taste gross" but so far its not working.Do any of you have this problem? i know there are over the counter products available do they really work?thanks for any info

yes she is on a good diet. she might be bored but she does it alot right after she goes lol it must be better hot and fresh! we are learning "leave it" and i have a product from pet store that you put in their food that supposedly makes poop taste gross! thanks for your thoughts on this. i heard to try putting cayenne pepper on her poop but i might as well just clean it up if im gonna do that

My girl had and sometimes still has a habit of doing so, hard to keep track off at our dog park. Yes, I heard of the pineapple, they sure did not like the taste when added a bit to their food. A good balanced diet comes to mind first, could there be improvement. Many consider kibble on the lowest rung of ladders up the quality food chain. Second, is your dog bored? Does your dog get enough stimulation? Third do you teach it no? I have brought the dogs up to whatever might tempt them and ask them to leave it and then reward when they do, so that now they will drop things out of their mouths when I ask them, usually. Keeping the area clean is a must and preferred to say spraying some hot sauce over the feces. Best of luck, om.
