My shitzu has dark dry hairless spots on her. What are these spots?

My 11 year old Ridgeback/Shepard, KonaBoy, also has dark, dry hairless spots all over his beautiful brown coat. He is not itchy, nor are the spots red or pink.
I suspect it might be the Deramaxx he's been taking daily for his severe arthritis in his rear hips/legs. Our other 6 year old dog does not take Deramaxx and is fine.

They both are inside dogs who are loved, well fed, groomed, bathed, and exercised the same.
Try to isolate the probable cause by thinking backward in time:
What changes occurred?
Meds?  Diet?  Bathing?  Exercise?  Vitamins?  Grooming?  Flea/Tick Meds?  Illness?

I have searched the Internet seeking probable cause, without finding anything.

If she scratches them very often then that could be a case of bad skin care or bad breeding. Ihave a friend and her dog is a Chiwawa mix and has ,really,the same thing. But I forgot what it is called.

does she itch them constantly are the red or anything? if not it sounds like allergies or just bad breeding , try feeding her somthing with no or byproducts in it, if it is oozy or red and shes itching it, its what groomers call a hotspot just get some cortizone:or antibiotic spray and apply it and it should go away its from having the clippers to hot when groomed...
