titer test/dog

titer test/dog

I don't give my dogs yearly vaccinations anymore due to the controversary of it causing more harm than good. But I do get them titer tests to make sure they are "still immune."

My titer for my dog came back >1.5 which shows she is immune. (A titler of >1.5 or greater indicates immunologic response to vaccination)

The doc says to vaccinate. I say she is immune and why stress her immune system if she is still immune. Anyone familiar with titer tests and have an opinion?

Ya know what,,I just realized something...... a >1.5 would be the ONLY result IF she is IMMUNE. Well guess I can't trust this doc. Thanks but I don't need a response - answered my own question.
