Anyone have the same problems

by concernedmom32, Apr 01, 2009 05:51PM
Someone please help me understand all the oxygen and heart beat levels! And I want the blunt (even if scary) answers. My son has Down Syndrome and is 20 yrs old. He is on a BIPAP machine and also has hypothyroidism. Lincare just did an overnight oximety test and his oxygen level was 88 or below for 2 hours and his heart rate ranged from 62 to 102. I haven't seen his doctor yet as he has just received this report. But I need to know what health risks there are and also someone to explain these levels. I don't care how blunt the answers are; I just need to know what I should be looking for and keep myself and my doctor on top of things. Thanks to anyone who responds. It would be easier if you sent me an email at: ***@**** as I check my mail periodically all day long.

Thanks, concernedmom32
