High Risk for DS with NT test

by hopeforababy, Apr 14, 2009 11:01AM
I am had an U/S done to measure the NT and my baby measured 5mm.  My doctor said I have a 1:8 chance of a baby with DS and a 1:21 chance of a baby with trisomy 18.  I am 33 years old and have already had one miscarriage last August.  I am scared.  I am still waiting for the blood test results and have scheduled an amnio for May 5.  Can anyone tell me if they had these results with a healthy baby?  Am I for sure going to have a baby with DS?  Please help.  Thanks.
