TRISOMY 13 & 18

by keirajane, Apr 29, 2009 03:51AM
i dont know wat to do, i got my results back  from my down syndrome test and im all clear for that but am an increased risk for edwards and patau syndrome and should seek genetic counselling with my chance being 1:307 its upsetting there is no chance of survival for either syndrome so looks like ill have to terminate if thing turn worse, my chances are small out of 307 babies 1 will have the syndrome knowing my luck it will be my baby, sorry girls im just venting and so annoyed at the whole world i just want this baby so much it hurts so much

Nature is a wonderful thing, it takes care of many mistakes in nature. Your chances of having a healthy baby are good,  go ahead and have your baby, things will work out just fine for you.  Good Luck  and God Bless.  marty

Keira~ if you are still very worried, go for an AMNIO. it'll tell you for sure if the baby has either syndrome. or if your still early in pregnancy you can try CVS which is done in weeks 11-14.
