A child with Down Syndrome should never be referred to as a "DS baby". Children or adults with Down Syndrome are people first!
To the original poster. Try not to worry! I know it's easier said than done. While your baby may have Down Syndrome, many live to become elderly.
Ooppss sorry, typo error. What I meant was 95% women who were high risks to have DS baby gave birth to a baby WITHOUT DownSyndrome. :)
Don't worry. Lots of babies without DS also have spot in their heart chamber. I am pretty sure your baby is not a DS baby. :) Just to let you know, my wife was very high risks to have DS baby with 1:67 ratio according to the bloodtest and ultrasound, and our little pricess has white spot on one of here chamber. Given that risk we still declined the advised of her OB to undergo to Amniocentesis test because I believed my baby does not have DS. Actually, 95% who are high risks for DS baby gave birth to a baby with DS... Back to my story, on July 22, 2014 my little girl was born without DS.
So, dont worry. Just enjoy your pregnancy and keep eating healthy food and take prenatal vitamins.
