First dx POTS now IST, has anyone had ablation for IST

I was diagnosed with POTS in 1999 at the age of 31.  My primary care MD treated this for many years with several different Beta Blockers.  None really controlled the problem.  I have all the symptoms fatigue, exercise intolerance, intolerance to heat etc, etc. Hard to find a doctor that wants to understand it.  My HR continued even on BB to be 120 to 140 on standing, normal when sitting or laying down. I had an ablation for atrial ventrical node reentry tachycardia in 2009.  Cardiologist assured me that I did not have POTS, and would be all better now.  I had a TTT at the same time and passed out, he diagnosed Vasovagal syndrome.  Earlier in the year I was diagnosed with Cervical Stenosis, I had a discetomy at C5 and C6.  I have continued to have severe tachycardia, and my other symptoms are much worse.

2 weeks ago at work my HR was between 130 and 160 sitting and standing, I watched it on monitor at the hospital where I work.  Sitting quietly at my desk stayed at 130.  MD sent me to ER, they gave IV meds got it down to 100 to 120 sent me home.  Followed up with Cardiologist 3 days later, he could not get my heart rate to go down less than 120 lying flat.  He even tried massaging the carotid artery and did several EKG's.  He is diagnosing Inappropriate Sinus tachycardia, after much debate I have decided to take his recommendation for a Sinus Node Ablation, he has told me it may not help all of the other symptoms, but it will get the heart rate down.   I work full time as a social worker in a large hospital.  I have had to take FMLA 3 times this year for a total of almost 12 weeks.  I am now at home until the ablation on 11/8,  I cannot even take a bath or blow dry my hair with out my heart rate jumping to 160 or higher.  The big difference now is that my blood pressure is much higher sitting, sometimes as high as 135 over 108, it used to stay 100 or lower on top number and 50 to 70 on bottom number.  On top of all of this my heart funtion is not great,  I have tachycardia induced cardiomyopathy also diagnosed last year with ejection fraction of 40% to 55%.

I have two questions.  Do you think my Cervical Stenosis or my first ablation caused the IST, or was it always IST and misdiagnosed POTS.  Has anyone ever had ablation for IST and did it help.  I know the ablation is risky, but I am so tired, I feel I have no other choice.  I have tried many of the BB, calcium channel blockers as well as Midodrine and Florinef in the past.  I have also tried acupuncture, and many of the holistic methods, I have found along the way.  None of this really helped, so I am feeling ablation of sinus node is my only option.  I am currently on 150mg of Metoprolol, and heart rate is still uncontrolled.  Any feed back is welcome.

First of all no wonder you feel exhausted with such a high HR.  You really have been through a lot this last year and I hope you get some resolution.  I should state before I say anything else that I don't have POTS and am not an expert on your problem which sounds complicated even for a cardiologist but I do want to say that I read a warning on the Dinet site that relates to POTS and abelation therapy.  I am sending you a link to that warning on the Dinet site.  Wether this is applicable to you or not there is no way for me to know.  I am not a doctor and I have never met you.

Is there any chance you could get to the doctor who wrote the article for a 2nd opinion?
