POTS and mast cell activation syndrome

POTS and mast cell activation syndrome

I am currently awaiting to see a doctor who specializes in mast cell diseases.  I am newly diagnosed with POTS, but not all my symptoms seem to be just from the POTS.  I know I posted a question recently regarding flushing and chest pain and I know a few of you mentioned this disorder.  I had been tested for mastocytosis with tryptase levels which were normal, so I didn't think anything.  I recently saw a doc who let me know that you can still have mast cell activation syndrome.  I am just curious if anyone has any information on the connection between these disorders or if anyone else may have this disorder.  I know I am waiting to be seen and am not diagnosed with it, but what I have learned makes a lot of sense to me.   Thanks for your help.

Yes, some can have POTS and MAST cell activation disorder.  See private message for more info.  I wondered if I had it but a dr. told me she wouldn't test for it because what they use to treat it, I can't take with my tachycardia.
